Something I've learned in this forum:
There are two types of people on the internet:

1) Those who assume that any ambiguous post is intended to be tongue-in-cheek, and respond accordingly, and

2) Those who assume that any ambiguous post is completely serious, and take offense/launch flames.

You'd think there should be a third type - those who request clarification of an ambiguous post - but they seem to be very rare.

Perhaps the anonymity and lack of context or nonverbal cues makes us quicker to judge the intent of a post, but it seems like most individuals consistently fall into one of these two categories...

(Disclaimer: this is not referring to any specific post(s) or poster(s), it is just a general observation that I find interesting.)

people who argue on the net.....especially those that say there kick your ass....

people kill me!!!...some folks get really serious and quite passionate about topics...it's as if...this is there total life....

sad thing is...for somer folks it probably is!:hippie:
