1. Great defense---
spectacular plays, thrilling games, great coaching and personnel management.

My wife, who despises organized sports, watched every pitch, and was enthralled.

1987 was great for Twins fans, but it was not great baseball. 1991 was a true classic.

2. 91 was the first World Series that I really paid attention to
There hasn't been a finer one since.

Jack Morris's performance in game seven will never be repeated.

7. we in atlata
We in atlanta consider that the most fun season ever. We were involved in a 2 month pennant race with the dodgers and then won a thrilling series against the Pirates. Our towmn was exhausted with no sleep. The result of that season has led to a fanaticism on the local level with baseball. Last year we had the 4th most players drafted by the major leagues. We have dual seasons and play baseball almost year round. To bad we lost but we consider it fondly as a great season

10. Miracle Mets '69 triumph #32?
That's a disgrace (and I hate the Mets)....this is the gold standard of World Series upsets.
