A flying... lawnmower?

I found this on the slashdot newsletter for today. They have a link to a video clip of a flying lawnmower (http://www.hugi.is/hahradi/bigboxes.php?box_id=51208&f_id=1159).

And it seems that the people that made the flying lawnmower have an official site where they sell the device (http://www.flyingthingz.com/flying_thingzsky_cutter_kit.htm).

This might be the coolest useless thing ever. :)

1. It really does fly

I thought you might be referring to that mower they made many years ago, with no wheels, where the blade acted like a propellor and the whole thing worked kind of like a hovercraft. Come to think of it, those damn things were prolly really dangerous, no wonder they vanished from the market.

2. Yeah, this one really does fly.

Although it does seem to be a bit useless, seeing as grass tends to not grow at such lengths as to need a flying lawnmower.

but what exactly would be the point to having a flying lawnmower?? Grass only gets so tall ....
