If they can't reach 12 feet, they'd better bring a ladder:

Notice the K/E stickers on the mailbox. There's one on each side for extra visibility. The mailbox is cheap plastic (under $5) so if they want to hit it with a bat, let 'em.

2. Aim a Camera at the mail box.
Then if they hit it up with a bat, take it to the police and watch em get a jail sentance for destroying federal property!

13. 24 signs? Who are these armpits?
You don't need a camera, you need a stake out team!
How much money is that, anyway? Grand theft auto?
You've got a crime wave!

Armpit == because an asshole actually has a function!

Kerry On!

11. I used 1" staples fasten it
Just make sure you get a good spot to nail it to or it'll just pull right out. Find a place in the tree where there isn't thick bark.

Better still if you can tie it on with twine. That way you don't have to stick nails in the tree like I did.

BTW, the 100 year old oak in the picture will have to come down in a year or two. It's dying from a black ant infestation.

14. It's also looks to be too close to your house
Even if it were healthy. Can you get it milled? Have you planted something further out already, so the loss of this one won't be totally devasting (even though it will be)?

I love to gaze upon those kerry/edwards signs.......and that is one fine looking front yard. My count today here in ohio was k/e 173;
b/c 132. PS. I bring my big sign in every night, it has a k/e next to one that says support our troops, vote bush out!}(

10. One of my neighbors took her sign in at night
It got stolen anyway, right in the middle of the day.

This neighborhood had dozens of K/E signs in the middle of people's yards, and now they're nearly all gone. The signs are in the windows where they're harder to see.

If we let this continue, Bush's brownshirts win. Whatever you can do to get your signs up and noticed, please do it. Don't stick them where they are unlikely to be seen...get creative! Or, get a really big dog and a shotgun.

;)

7. That's so beautiful sittin' up there on your tree!
My friend got her Kerry/Edwards sign that was up on a flag pole vandalized..they broke the flag pole and left it in the her yard. It was in daylight so they did not want to be seen walking with that sign in her small town.

Here's a ltte that my friend just had published..

"We should be able to have differences of opinion"

Editor:

I seriously questioned whether or not to spend my time writing this as it is obvious to me that the person or persons who committed this offense are unlikely to be readers of this or any other newspaper. However, I feel that it is an issue that needs to be addressed. On Saturday afternoon the flag pole on the front of my housse to which I had affixed a Kerry/Edwards yard sign was broken in two and thrown in my front yard.

This is obviously a trespassing violation and vandalism, but it is more serious isssue than that. As a resident of a highly vocal republican-based Dolgeville, I still felt that as a Democrat I had the right to display my own beliefs. Obviously, someone else didn't feel that way.

I especially found this to be ironic as the previous day the school(where I teach in the elementary) hosted a literature fair that discussed RAy Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451" which shows what can happen when freedom of thought is infringed upon. What makes this country so great is that we do have the freedom to have different opinions and should be able to do so without fear.

As I drive though town, am I thrilled by the plethora of bush/cheney signs and do I claim to understand the reasoning of their supporters? No. However, I do respect their rights to those beliefs and to display their signs. I only ask for the same consideration.

XOXOXOX
XOXOXOX

8. We should be able to have "the right to display" our beliefs
But the BFEE has other plans, and their brownshirt minions are sure to carry them out.

Opposition = treason.

indicted by the Bush Admin for damaging trees!

You would be about the first person charged with ANY environmental law since they took office.

Great idea! Hard to miss that, even if the neighbors put up a sea of (much shorter) Bush signs.
