Poll question: who was the 'best' Beatle?
Edited on Sun Oct-24-04 12:26 AM by JibJab
i'm gonna go with Paul McCartney, largely because i love wings, and he was the main songwriter for the Beatles, too. but i know it's gonna be Lennon in a landslide.

4. Don't make me choose.

I love all four. Paul was probably the best melody writer of the bunch. John was the poet and had the most meaningful lyrics. George had evolved into my favorite songwriter of the four post-Pepper, and Ringo... well, how can you not like Ringo?

Did you know they lip-synched their performance of "All You Need Is Love" during that worldwide telecast? ASHLEE SIMPSON!!!

6. Yeah, truth be told, lip-synhing performances is pretty common
It's hard to keep your voice in top shaoe when you're constantly on the road performing, staying up until the early hours of the morning, etc.

It doesn't change the fact that Ashley Simpson is pretty disposable, but her career isn't exactly over.

11. Actually, portions of the performance
were pre-recorded, and some elements... including, if I'm not mistaken, the singing, were live (see Beatles Anthology DVDs). Thank you very much, & we hope you liked the audition.

12. I have the Anthology DVDs.
And that's where I got the impression it was all synched. The performance sounded identical to the released version, but maybe I don't have as well-trained as an ear as I thought.

It doesn't matter either way. They're still the greatest.

14. No Contest.
John Lennon all the way.

With no disparagement meant to the other talented Beatles. I've always loved 'em all.
