Considering I've been starting lots of baseball threads, I heartily welcome other sports threads!

4. Caution & Bodine have always gone together!
I can no longer stand NASCAR. I was a big fan for years, but the changes in the last few years have killed it for me. The racing I remember is gone.

5. I do my best not to be a Hater re: NASCAR
But, if there is ever a track that has to go it is this one. This track just totally emasculates these cars. These are race cars and they are fast. I can't sense any of it through my TV today.

Back to football.

7. Too corporate!
Cletus T. Judd parodied Toby Kieth's "I Love This Bar" and made it into "I Love NASCAR". Lame, but it gets into what I hate about racing when he acts like a driver and says "I'd like to thank...." and runs don a big list of corporate sponsors.

I hate whoring out to big money. If racing was just about the competition I could maybe watch it, but since it's about publicity and sponsors, it's just a two hour commercial and I won't watch!

14. Plane owned by Hendrick crashes
A plane carrying members of the Hendrick Motorsports organization was missing Sunday after losing contact with the Federal Aviation Administration on its way to a NASCAR race, and a search was underway for the aircraft.

NASCAR spokesman Jim Hunter said the FAA has notified the National Transportation Safety Board, and "they're investigating to see what might have happened or what has happened."

NASCAR has spoken with team owner Rick Hendrick, Hunter said, but he added no other details about who was on the plane, where it disappeared or what may have preceded the loss of contact were immediately available.

"We're working very closely with members of the Hendrick organization," Hunter said. "We're just saying extra prayers right now."

Hendrick owns the teams of Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Terry Labonte and Brian Vickers in the Nextel Cup Series.

Johnson won Sunday's race at Martinsville Speedway.
