I love Suzanne Vega.
Brilliant songwriter.
Beautiful voice.
Wonderful person.

She's a national treasure. So, of course she is totally ignored by the monolithic media congolmerates. It's a shame.

If you dont' have her 2001 CD "Songs in Red and Gray," give it a listen. Should have gone multi-platinum....

her song "Caramel" is featured in the ads for that movie "Closer" ...maybe it will show up in the movie or on the soundtrack and be one of those oddball "after the fact" hits like "Wicked Game" (or for that matter "Tom's Diner")

4. i have always wanted
to get the "tom's diner" version that was really popular. but it is not on any of HER cds.

it was backed up by a black group, i think. much better than her solo version, in my opinion.

anyone know what cd it would be on?

"Retrospective: The Best of Suzanne Vega" It has the versionof Tom's Diner that got the most airplay, back in about 1991,
