I saw Breakfast at Tiffany's and Taxi Driver last night
I've seen taxi driver before. I love that movie. My favourite scene though is when Martin Scorsese plays the guy in the cab saying his gonna shoot his wife. The music, the grimy darkenss, the whacko, it just seems so 70s New York....very chilling.

It was the first time I've seeb Breakfast at Tiffany's. I liked it alot. But I guess I'm ice cold cause I never got emotional like others in the room.

Anyway, any old time New Yorkers here that miss what the city used to be like?

New York, in the day, was endlessly fascinating to me.

Why it's not anymore, I can't put my finger on?

5. Taxi Driver has my favorite soundtrack.
I saw this movie by myself at the local art theater when I was 12 (my mom wrote a note so I could see it). I loved it!

21. Bernard Hermann's last score...
Terrific composer -- he did many of Hitchcock's best films.

6. Oh god..
Breakfast at Tiffany's is the only movie where this grown man bawls like a baby every time he sees it. I'm getting teary-eyed thinking about it, lol..

It's The Perfect Movie Ending. The rain, the cat, the alley, the taxi..

*sniff*

The first time I saw it, I didn't quite get that she has a somewhat questionable occupation.

12. "What a .44 Magnum can do to a woman's *****. That you should see."
Hey did you ever see SCTV's series of parodies with various other famous actors doing the Deniro "Are you talking to me?" scene...

Joe Flaherty as Gregory Peck
Rick Moranis as Woody Allen

there were others... too funny (I just got the 5 DVD SCTV box set recently at it is so schweet...)
