3. I had a blast!
Partied my ass off on Friday and spent the night out!

Saturday, worked and then straight to bed.

Today, went to the movies with my boyfriend and hung out with him all day and half of the night.

He's now in bed upstairs and I'm in the basement chatting on my fave website!:hi:

7. Worst Weekend Ever
After being up most of Friday night with my sick child (a puppy), my partner and I morned the loss of her Saturday morning. Quite honestly the hardest thing I have ever done. I will miss my baby girl Zoe. However, I know I have a guardian puppy now. However, she will forever be in my heart.

10. Well let's see...
I kicked ass at Mad Gab (why I was playing I don't know, haha) and then bought a new keyboard and mouse. Not too shabby.

Also: Ashlee Simpson's whole fiasco was icing on the cake.

11. I actually had FUN canvassing!
I HATE to phone bank and HATE to canvas -- but bite the bullet like a good American. I started working in a different district -- a burb around Pittsburgh -- with a MoveOn group, and its a team that has great chemistry. My partner is a terrific ice-breaker who can start a conversation with anyone, and I am good at providing info that undecided are looking for to think about when making their minds up. We made good connections with lots of good folk, and I came home feeling so good about the inherent decency of Americans that I am getting optimistic about the future.

We met wonderful wonderful people! Anyone who thinks support for Bush is widespread, and support for Kerry just among hippies and freaks is very sadly mistaken. Here, even in the BURBS, revulsion towards Bush is prevalent, and people are counting the days till they can stampede to the polls. In the city -- the feeling against Bush is intense.

I was also surprised to meet some undecideds. I had the prejudgement that they must all be idiots, but met a few who were really torn between a strong pro-life position (lots of Catholics here) and revulsion towards Bush. We ended up having pretty intelligent and thoughtful discussions.

Ended the day watching LinkTV -- they are having a "Forbidden Films" festival -- showing the recent controversial political films about Bush and Kerry -- check linktv.org for details -- it will be going on all week.

They showed excerpts from Going Upriver, which showed the genesis of Viet Nam Vets Against the War -- which showed footage that brought back memories of a time of moral action and conscience.

12. I didn't get to volunteer
because there was nothing for me to do, and the calls to moblize voters don't start till tomorrow. I got to shop, which was ok, and do homework and talk to LiberalManiacfromOC, as always, but with the new to us technology of text messaging. So it was an ok weekend.

14. It was ok...
had friends in town, but they kinda wussed out when it came to going out. Went shopping at the devil (Ikea), watched some movies, drank some beers, made a drunk call to the guy I am dating. (he was supposed to call me today so we could hang out...never did...) Pretty much it was fun, but a little bit of a dissappointment. And I'm ready for sleep.

Sweet Dreams!

16. went to an International Art exhibit here
that only comes every 4 years. My son and husb. enjoyed looking at a really cool Anime-style mural. There were some cool sculptures and painting, but some of the conceptual stuff was way too conceptual and really didn't grab you, the way really amazing art should. ( amaze and educate!)

We had great Thai food one night and Middle Eastern another. I also went to a Move-on meeting and did a little canvassing. It was a busy weekend.

also watched some of Serial Mom after the kid was in bed. Nothing like John Waters to make you feel that your life is very normal.

18. Cleaned up the garden. Raked up a few leaves.
Spent some quality time, with myself.

Went for a walk in the woods.

It was fine.
