Anyone seen The Forgotten? (SPOILERS!) |
|
I liked it. A good fun alien movie.
But wow, I have NEVER jumped so much in a movie as that car crash scene! I just freaked! It was done so perfectly. The car was coming towards them and I thought it would stop but it just didn't! And they were just having this casual conversation, no music or anything leading up, it was just SO unexpected, just like a real car crash would be. I loved it!

1. Yeah, that surprised me just like the time I was in a wreck. |
|
My husband and I were trying to remember if we've ever seen a movie car crash done that way before. I can't think of one.
The surprise was so intense it almost hurt.

7. Another jolting car crash in a movie ... |
|
.. was in, believe it or not, "Punch-drunk Love" with Adam Sandler and Emily Watson. I'll admit it wasn't quite as "impactful" as "The Forgotten," but it ranks up there in the makes-you-jump department.
Two girlfriends took me to see "The Forgotten" for my birthday (my choice). They hated it. I thought it was a lot of fun.

8. Not really a car crash but (Maybe a spoiler) |
|
A car to human crash
The scene in Meet Joe Black when Pitt gets hit
Totally unexpected for me. I jumped out of my seat.

9. Yeah, right, Punch Drunk Love. That's the scene where . . . |
|
Sandler is standing near the curb in a deserted alley way, a van approaches at a high speed, there's this explosion, the van does an endo flip, comes to screeching stop, doors open, and a small toy piano is placed in front of Sandler, van races off.
Great Scene!! Very surprising, Very sur-real, Very interesting!

I love Julianne Moore.
I usually don't like those alien movies. I usually like thrillers that can actually happen but I thought his movie was very well done.

my niece and I went the day it opened - we had no idea it involved aliens all the previews had made it look more like a psychological thriller.
But - I do agree about the car crash - I nearly jumped out of my seat.

5. One of the better sci/fi, suspense, conspiracy movies |
|
I've seen recently. I quite enjoyed it, but I thought the ending was a little weak.
