I congratulate the Red Sox, but remember 1986...
Up 2-0 back then too. St. Louis is very capable of easily winning three in a row and making these last 2 games yesterday's news.

I continue to remain scared of another "Red Sox moment" to ruin the series.

1. The evil part of me
thinks it would be hilarious if Boston goes up 3-0 and blows it.

2. I've said it before....I'll say it again....
I am "cautiously optimistic." I don;t want to jinx the whole damn thing and there is no denying that St Louis is very strong at home. Still, I'm quite happy with this 2 game lead.

Go sox!

3. Expect a fight in St. Louis
Not that the Cards have been dogging it, but I think they will come alive at home. And if the Sox keep giving up four errors a game it's going to come back to haunt them.

4. Actually.....
weren't the Mets up 2 games to nothing, then Boston won 3 staright games (AT HOME) and then the Mets won Games 6 (Bill Bucknor) and 7 to win the WS.

9. Boston won the first two on the road in '86
Went back to Shea up 3-2 for the famous Game 6...The most painful loss ever sustained by any team in baeball history.

7. I think the mojo of this Sox team is so positive, particularly after the
ALCS. I like it. I don't think it's necessarily overconfidence. I mean, how can you hurt a team that just came back from 0-3 against the Yanks? You can't kill what's already dead!

10. It scares the crap out of me too
They need to win in St. Louis to assuage my fears.

11. not to worry . . . Sox will take one in St. Louis . . .
and win it all in Game 6 back at Fenway . . . their fans deserve to have it happen at home after waiting so long . . .

Go Sox! . . .:)

12. That would be a sight to see
That would probably be like the old days when fans poured onto the field in celebration.
