Sloths are cool!

I already have two corn snakes, but my ideal snake would be a red tailed boa. Man, are they gorgeous.

Oh wait...also a spotted hyena. I have a professor who has a bunch of them, and they're neat animals. Very friendly. Or a brown hyena.

We're just dreaming. Neither a sloth nor a hyena belong in someone's house. The red tailed boa's another story.

5. I know what you mean
Large snakes and small pets don't mix. You shouldn't have them around small children, either. Snakes make mistakes about what they're supposed to eat.

6. I'm suprised...
that anyone else finds three-toed sloths as cute as I do. I'd keep Dick Cheney as a pet, if I knew that I wouldn't break my long-standing views against animal cruelty.

11. any reason why you picked the three-toed sloth over....
...the two-toed sloth?

speaking of sloths, i've seen many in my life in the rainforests in central america.

the first time i saw one i was with a native costa rican and he stopped the car, pointed up into a tree and said "esta perezoso". in spanish oso means bear so i couldn't figure out what a perez oso was and i thought maybe it was a bear named perez. so i looked up and saw what i thought was a monkey. when i looked through my binoculars i could see it was a sloth. then i found out that perezoso means "lazy one" in spanish and it's also the common name for sloth in latinamerica.
