1. Yes
Microwaves, toasters, anything that generates heat. My most used item in the Kitchen is the drawer where all of the Takeout/Delivery menus are. I am hopeless.

3. Really
So my Swiss roommate is not the only one to blacken an English muffin in the microwave, start a fire, explode a plate and fill up the entire house with noxious fumes all while taking a shower?

Who knew.

Why, I remember back in the days of yore (near the time of old) when I used to throw a bit of tinfoil, a fork, a spoon, a plate with some food I wanted to eat (sort of), a mountain dew (I can't stress this enough: You haven't lived until you've microwaved a can of Mountain Dew) slammed that flimsy plastic door closed and punched in two-zero-zero-zero-start!

It's what I imagine God looks like.

Microwaves are the secret to a long and healthy life.
Microwaves are the secret to a boring night.
Microwaves are better than Viagra.

hmm.

yes. yes.

NO!

6. Peeps and plastic
I learned the hard way never to microwave peeps too long if they are on a plastic plate.

Although I didn't start a fire, I did get some smoke and the plate as well as the Peep was ruined.

9. yes. You can create a plasma ball (glowing light) by nuking a lit match
or cigarette. BUT...it might ruin your micowave! http://www.angelfire.com/tx4/ionwind/microwave.html

Actually, there's alot of cool stuff you can do in your microwave to create plasma (kinda like ball lightning)

10. Not my own, but...
I was working in the dorms and had Pop Tarts with me for breakfast - I pulled them out of the package and put them ON THE PACKAGE into the microwave and started it.

I didn't realize there was metal in Pop Tart packages!!

Just a few sparks - I caught it before I burned down the dorm
:P

11. popcorn for 30 minutes instead of 3 does the trick a charm
Also, using the grill feature if your microwave has both conventional
grill and microwave... the grill if unused can get covered with
oil and grease, so when you finally use it, smoky fire like experience.
