More Halloween fun: Worst performance in a horror film?
I'd nominate the annoying friend in Fright Night and the lead female in the original Night of the Living Dead ("We've got to go get Michael!"), but for my money, all-time worst is Heather Langerkamp in the first Nightmare on Elm Street. Somehow the movie was good despite her high-school-drama-club acting.

4. Unwatchable. Baz Lurhman was channeling Michael Bay when he edited that.

2. "Will" in Freddy V. Jason
Bah. There are so many. All the teens in slasher flicks tend to be attrocious actors.

3. I agree with the Heather Langencamp pick...
Although her acting got even worse as the series progressed. I was watching New Nightmare this weekend, wherein she plays herself and if anything it was worse than her playing the original role.

Pretty much all the acting in The Hills Have Eyes is atrocious as well.
