Joining the Big Ten would definitely enhance Notre Dame's prestige and credentials, IMHO. NC State that is coming off an a**whoopin laid on them by *gulp* Wake.

This is the first game I will have the chance to see the Buckeyes this year as we couldn't possibly have seen them here in ACC land when they were playing the RANKED Washington Huskies. Oh no we just had to see St.Bobbie and hear his insightful ruminations as Fla.State (that's Universtiy not correctional facility but I understand you can minor in that) as they played UNC. UNC looked as slow as their regiment would have been if the did actually have tar on their heels to slow them from RUNNING AWAY FROM BATTLE during the Revolution (thus the embarassing state nickname).
