The baseball playoffs have spoiled me.
I work sort of a second shift as a trucker. 5pm-1am. I do a 320 mile round trip run a night. I listen to a lot of radio to keep from dying of boredom. Before the playoffs I was getting by on rock-n-roll, but it's going to be hard to go back to that after the World Series. I've been listening to the playoffs on ESPN radio and it has turned my nights going up and down the freeway into pleasureable experiences.

Who else is really digging the playoffs this year?

3. I was...
until my team blew that 3-0 lead.

Congrats, BTW. The better team won.

5. Thanks!
I'm still getting over the shock from last week! I'm still not quite sure who those guys are wearing the 'Boston' shirts.

2. I am digging it too....
and I am a yankee fan :-(

I still love October baseball! There just isn't anything like it.

Just hope the Cards get back into the series with a win tonight so the WS will last longer...

4. I second that
I'm rooting for the Sox, but I'd really like to see a 7 game series. I'm more of a fan of baseball than I am of either of these two teams.

6. Absolutely fantastic October baseball no matter who you root for.
Of course, I'm a Sox fan, so that helps. :)

7. What did Tommy Lasorda used to call it?
October Madness? Fall Festival? What?
I'm getting old. I can't remember. My mental rolodex is getting full. I have to throw out a few cards. I don't need the cards with my phone numbers from age 4-45. That ought to free up a few spaces, eh? Why the heck do I still know my phone number from kindergarten???

But, I digress.
Yes, I love the World Series, playoff, even the regular season.
Basebal is, after all, America's pastime. (when we're not bombing innocent women and children that is)

8. When the Dodgers flooded the field to congratulate the Cards,
after their series, I was encouraged that (maybe) all is not lost.

Without baseball, I would be bereft of all hope.
