Are there Hookah Bars where you are at?
My older sons frequent a few in the SDSU area, and tell me that the bars are cool. You rent a hookah for $19.00 and the bar supplies the scented tobacco, sells drinks (alcoholic(beer&wine), as well as coffee, tea and soda),has chessboards and internet outlets all over the place.
Its a shame that they dont let you bring your own hookah material.
Is this a SoCal thing or do these places exist elsewhere?

1. Yes, it appears not to be just a SoCal thing.

And many Arabic food stands rent them out, but those usually don't sell alcohol .

Asking a taxi driver for one might yield awkward results, though.

9. Really?
I live/work in Madison. What's the name of the place? It sounds like a good after-work place.

I work for a theatre, everyone smokes something. Too bad there's no alcohol then it would be the perfect theatre crowd place.

13. Every time I read this headline...
... I want to correct your grammar.
So, I decided to just jump in and do it.

"Are there Hookah Bars where you are?"

NO AT.

Sheesh. I am so tired of the dumb "at" stuck on the end of sentence.

Okay.
Grammar rant over.

Kerry On!

17. There's even one in West Lafayette, Indiana...
How much more "Cosmopolitan" can you get than THAT?

There's even 2 places that serve Curry and 4 places that serve Sushi.

It's not ALL Cracker Barrel and Chicken Fried Steak up here...
