I'm a bad liberal and a bad Canadian, but... |
|
...so help me, I just don't think "Canadian Bacon" is a great movie.
I'm sorry. I really want to like it, and I even bought it in support of Salter Street Films and Michael Moore, but I just don't think it's that funny.
I don't really like Leonard Cohen, either, but I don't apologise for that.

1. Oh yeah, well Canadian beer sucks! |
|
Just kidding. :)
Actually Canadian beer is pretty damn good - better than a lot of the mainstream swill here in the USA.

We have plenty of mass-consumption weasel piss beer in Canada, too.

7. Rhea Perlman was HOT in that movie. |
|
It was a pretty god-awful movie, but Steven Wright was pretty hilarious.

9. Amok, I wonder if I'm the only DUer who's opened this thread |
|
who actually saw 'Canadian Bacon.'
It definitely wasn't worth the life of John Candy.
They can't all be winners, I guess.

10. John Candy died while filming "Wagons East" |
|
Not Canadian Bacon.
I dunno, I really liked Canadian Bacon. The scene where Dan Aykroyd is a mountie and makes them stop and translate all their anti-Canadian graffiti into French is a riot.

11. Huh -- bad info -- sorry! |
|
I thought it was, but you're probably right. 'Wagons West' was the one with Richard Lewis, right?

Where a bunch of settlers give up and need to find a wagonmaster (Candy) to lead them back east. Not all that funny.

12. That's the only part where I laughed. |
|
It was genuinely funny.
The rest? Meh. Michael Moore should stick to documentaries!
