My mailman is really pissing me off! |
|
He always stuffs my mailbox - often times ripping, crinkling or outright destroying the mail itself. Can I complain to the post office about it? It's killing me.

3. It is a small box but still. |
|
Stuffs magazines - DVD's - those junk coupons and grocery store flyers, etc...
The latch is faulty as well, so often times my mailbox will be ajar because he HAD to stuff all the junk mail in there. It's sooooo frustrating.

4. his excuse will be the box isn't big enough |
|
as a former postal worker.. I can tell you that's exactly what he'll say and since it's his job to deliver ALL of - he'll get away with it.
Either get a bigger box if you can....... or put a cardboard box on the ground or around (if possible) and leave a note for him to put the junk mail in the cardboard box to free up space in the regular mailbox.
It is annoying... especially when stuff gets torn.
Good luck getting him to cooperate..

5. I promise the political ads will |
|
stop Nov. 2nd! In the mean time empty your box daily and if you shop by mail or the Internet you will be inundated by junk mail ...oops bulk business mail so get a larger box. I think there is also a national mailing list that can remove your name from some of the junk mail you get. Also don't contribute to chairities...they are the worst for selling your name and address to other solicitors.

6. You can request a second or larger mailbox, if this is a daily problem. |
|
We have those hive mailboxes on our street, and the carrier can open them all up from the back just by unlocking the streetside door to the whole group. The other day, he put a boxed package in my mailbox. Although it fit in from his side, I couldn't get it out because the opening on my side is smaller. So I just tore open the box, removed the contents, and left the empty box inside my mailbox, along with a note pointing out the problem. Today, the box was gone, so I guess he got the message.

7. Why would you complain |
|
to the post office when you can simply leave a note on your mail box that he is sure to get saying something to the effect of, "Hey, jerkoff, quit fucking up my mail."

8. That had crossed my mind... |
|
it's a matter of tone that I'm worried about. I'd really like to rip into him but I should play nice :sigh: and leave a terse note.
