1. Thanks.
They're kinda breaking my heart here, but they went farther than anyone expected us to go. As for our fans, we're a little redneck-ish at times, but we're passionate, and there's nothing we love more than a good game.

Plus, we've got a really great group of guys. Very involved with charities, and will always stop to sign an autograph for a kid. Reggie Sanders had a great moment with a kid at a Rangers game this year...all over the news. They deserve all the success they've achieved.

If we had to be beaten, I'm glad it was JK and blue-state Massachusetts' Red Sox. You guys have waited a long time for this.

Just a little request on the behalf of a depressed Cards fan, though:
If the BoSox clinch it at any point, can you keep the celebration threads in the political forums to a minimum? I live and die for my Birds, and although I'm expecting it, I'll probably be crying and fairly upset (I like the BoSox, but hey...I'm very emotional this year, with the election and all). I just don't think I'll be in the mood to weed through a bunch of happy Boston threads. I can avoid the Lounge, but I get my political news from the forums.

Maybe I'm just hormonal...I dunno.

Anyway, I'm rambling. Thanks and congratulations from a Cards fan.

5. You won't see any gloating threads from me
To be honest the Cards scared the crap out of me. The Rockies are my National League team of choice, so I know what kind of damage Larry Walker can do. But really, seeing the fans in St. Louis has been a joy. You guys obviously love your team for all the right reasons. Who knows? The Sox are always fucking things up! I wouldn't be surpised to see the Cards take the next four! :P

6. "Cards fans are classy"..............
You gotta be kiddin' me. They're vindictive and whiney. They're still cryin' over the '85 World Series!

Come on, it's been 20 years ! Build a bridge and get over it already!

I won't even start on the Rams fans. :SHUDDER:

8. It's not quite over yet....ask the Yankees.
Albeit, things really don't look too swell at this point. If the Red Sox win game 4, then it's going to be reeeealllll tough to come back.:freak:
