I am not saying I agree with what was said in ATA. I was pointing out that the 'jeep river' thread was construed as be awful by more than one person at this site. WE obviously don't all feel the same. And I am happy for that.

And no. I don't necessarily think ATA is the acid test of good or bad taste.

I can't believe how stupid not calling 911 was. But it WAS laughing at something horrible that happened. Horrible and funny aren't always mutually exclusive. And I don't mean as in 'horribly funny.' It's more like: 'How horrible! Yet how funny!'

I am NOT saying the cell phone thing=cancer. I laughed at comments on your thread. I would not make fun of someone who suffered and died of cancer. I haven't read the freep stuff, because I don't want to. I feel if you've read one of those posts, you've pretty much read them all. I don't want their fingerprint in my memory.

What I said was making comments that offend happen on both sites. And if by "link the two" you mean 'making comments that may be offensive to some that a number of the participants would find funny on Site A, with making comments that may be offensive to some that a number of the participants would find funny on Site B', then yeah, that's what I mean. But it's all that I mean.

I think it's weird when freeperville reportage happens here. Maybe I need to hide this threads too. And I don't mind. I hate to look like I am pissing on the parade I want to be in.

I mean, really, even on my worst enemy, I would never, ever think that was cool. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most painful, terrible cancers out there with not much hope for a cure. Wow. And they probably think they're Christians . . .
