Could be you have somehow got your desktop properties set such that the screen resolution is whacked... you could right-click anywhere on the desktop, go to Properties, then click the Settings tab... reduce desktop size to say, 1024x768, and then click Advanced, set Adapter refresh rate down to 60Hz....

Maybe.

When you reboot the PC, is the initial DOS screen (the B&W screen at startup) normal sized, or is it whacked as well ? If so, it is a hardware problem, not a Windows problem.

Or...

Monitor could be dying... give it a smack on the side, (Honestly). Have you placed and electrical objects, fans, etc near it ?

Reply with updated info, I'll try. first thing - do the reboot, see if anything looks normal during the boot process.

2. Have you installed new video drivers?
Have you installed any new hardware or software?

Honestly, I think KTM is right ... when your screen is displayed on an angle, that's usually a sign of a monitor problem - giving it a whack on the side may help. If not, try turning the monitor off for a little while to let it cool down - if the picture's fine when you turn it back on, it's definitely a monitor problem. Also, check for a loose monitor cable.

My monitor died( lets say a blessing) and replaced today with a lovely 17".......back in the saddle! Very strange how it died. I always thought I would see nothing like on a TV......learn something everyday
