Today is my one year anniversary at DU.

One year ago today, I stopped just lurking and finally registered and became a member. I had been lurking since March, but was to shy to post, and put off becoming a registered member.

11. I lurked here for about a year before I registered.

All the arguing during the primaries almost scared me away.

14. I managed to register just in time

to really hit the brunt of the primary wars. I really wish I had registered somewhat earlier so I could have gotten in on some of the interesting discussions that dominated here before "your candidate sucks" took over.

Also, I seem to recall that this place was distinctly smaller, slower, and more intimate before it got overrun with the primaries. I'm afraid it's never going to be that way again.:(
