6. No rodent meals for me!
Figured if I get hungry enough to eat squirrel, then any old rodent will do. I'll go vegan first!

5. Well, um, #4 kinda reminds me of "Carrot Top"
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 11:20 PM by qnr
which isn't particularly "adorable." Other than that (and the fact you have a chipmonk in there), nice pics :)

Edit: "chipmunk" even... (Yes, I know I've been shown to be wrong, but I want to acknowledge my spelling error too).

but decided against modifying it. Thanks for the confirmation though.

8. While I'll take my cat over a squirrel every time, I gotta respect
a critter that will stand on a tree branch and hook nuts at you :7

12. I wish I could get good pictures like that of our squirrels
We have one that has claimed our back porch as his territory, and boy, does he cuss us out if we come outside while he's there. That, and the gymnastics they can do to get to a bird feeder are worth more than most concert tickets. My kids will watch the squirrels in the front yard by the hour.

16. i used to live in colorado, and there was a huge scare about them
they had some kind of Bubonic plague. seriously.

so perhaps they were terrorist squirrels...using biological warfare on us. sleeper cells, maybe.

20. Disenfranchised Florida Squirrel
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 11:38 PM by gtrump
...of the threatened Floridian bushus trynascrewus variety. :nuke:

However, it may be saved from electoral extinction by the small but powerful Washingtonian Representus Corinna Brownus.

23. We have one
of these living in our backyard. They seem to be more skiddish than the greys....actually they are greys too but with a genetic difference.

Love to watch squirrels. Even more fun is watching the neighbor in his futile attempts to "outsmart" the squirrels to keep them out of his bird feeders...I expect to see the neighbor waving a white flag of surrender very soon.

17. I have some squirrels here right now.
I do volunteer work in wildlife rehab, so I often end up with orphaned babies that need to be hand raised.

My guys are really big and obnoxious now, but they're still pretty cute. Thanks for the pictures.

19. they are NOT rats with fluffy tails.
they are more similar to mouses. rats are horrible. possibly worse than dust mites.
