The crowd at a Boston Pops concert has more fun

1. Dude
They're hardcore about their Lakers. I see it every year even though I don't really give a crap.

8. Good seats
My friend's dad gets free tickets sometimes. One time, he got to sit in the skybox and he bought a 45 candy apple which he didn't have to pay for just because he could.

2. You're Right, With One Exception
which is the crowd at USC football games. I hate 'em (went to Cal), but you gotta give it up to them -- they support their team.

And when they're good, like now, the crowd at the Coliseum is AWESOME.

(There's a reason why their victory march is called "Conquest", goddamnit.)

5. Laker Fans are Thugs
Sorry, I think the Laker fans are frontrunners and thugs. Any excuse to raise hell. Only reason why they're idealized in the media is the Hollywood faces that go to the games.

Staples Center is about big money, sex, drugs and rock and roll. As are the Laker crowd.

4. US fans have nothing on European or South American soccer fans.
I mean, two Central American countries went to war over a soccer game, the British "soccer hooligans" make even the L. A. fans look like wimps.

The thing seems to be somewhat under control now, though.

7. LA crowd aren't sports fans
It is entertainment, dates, to be seen, and business. It has nothing to do with the the team or the sport. However I can't say I mind all the great looking babes wandering up and down the aisles as if it was some kind of a half assed runway.

BTW, Bonpane is a TCO icon. The time he upturned the desk on Wally George was absolutely all time great. I have followed his programs commentary since the beginning! Regards!

15. Come Late, Leave Early
Maybe once or twice a year, in the rare year the Dodgers are in it, the Dodger Stadium crowd "rocks."

Generally, they sleep.

18. I lived in CA in the 70's when the Reds and Dodgers
were fighting it out for the NL west every year(yes,Cincy used to be in NL West when there were only 2 divisions in each league)....the place literally rocked. Of course the place doesn't rock when they aren't doing well. Very few fans will support a loser in any city. Its the Laker fans that always got the rap...come late, leave early until they started winning all the time.

I leave early too...ya gotta beat that traffic. How is this any different from any other city. Why would you stay for a blow out? Ya think that makes you some kind of super fan?
