Ok, now I'm getting a little worried

After reading this (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x1181279#1181342) in GD:2004, it has occurred to me that the absentee ballot I requested more than a week ago from the state of Florida has yet to reach me. I'm going to call my county's Supervisor of Elections, but I'm not feeling very hopeful about my chances of actually getting to put a ballot in. If this has happened to me, who knows who else it has happened to? I'm registered as a Dem., in a strongly Republican county, and I'd like to believe that is not a factor, but I also know that these bastards will do anything, and I do mean anything, to win, and they've kept people from voting using more repulsive tactics than this.

I hope I'm wrong.

1. Early Vote!

I think you can swear an affidavit that you never got your absentee ballot and early vote. If not, in some cases SOE offices are sending absentee ballots overnight mail.

4. The problem with Early Voting:

I'm in Chicago right now, and will be for most, if not all, of this year. Certainly through November.

I just called the Supervisor of Elections, and they told me that the ballot was sent out on the 22nd. I've never had anything sent from Fl. to here that took five or six days to reach me, though...

Again, here's to hoping I'm wrong.

my son has not received his absentee ballot (altho I received mine weeks ago) - I'm glad I saved the receipt. This is so cal, the county administration is rethug and I don't trust them 4 one second.

You have a few days before the election to fix the paperwork problems.
It'll be too late on Nov 2.
