They never won it while Bobby Kennedy was alive, and of course Ted Kennedy was born in the 1930's.
Ford and Reagan were kids in 1918, while Poppy and Jimmy Carter both came in 1924.
I don't think they ever won it while either of my grandfathers were alive (one of my grandpas was born in either 1918 or 1919, probably the latter), and this would be the first time they did it in Grandma's life (she's an octogenarian).
Of course, Strom was there for all of the Red Sox wins. Until tonight.
