I'm making meat loaf, mashed potatoes, green beans with bacon,
brown gravy, and biscuits with butter and honey. I'm doing the dishes too. I like the potatoes a little lumpy. Do you ?

15. I don't do sweets.
We have ice cream bars and fudgesicles in the freezer for Mrs bearfan and our granddaughter. I got her skeleton costume today. She wants to be a skeleton. She's 4.

8. Definitely lumpy potatoes
I used to whip mine thinking my new (25 years ago) husband would think they were more elegant that way. Then, he confessed he liked them lumpy better.

I try to use Yukon Gold potatoes for the extra flavor.

Say, could I have your recipe for green beans with bacon? I have some homegrown beans I froze.

13. Boil them and dice up some bacon.
Fry it up kind of limp and pour grease and all over the green beans, Mrs bearfan's Mom makes it that way for Thanksgiving.

9. Yes, lumpy is good
I like the texture better. I also prefer chunky to smooth peanut butter, but I think that anyone in their right mind prefers chunky :D

I'll be right over. You can hold those green beans on the bacon, though.

:-)

In all seriousness, yes, I much prefer a little lumpy in my mashed potatoes to those nasty overly creamed recipes that remind me of baby food. I don't even object to a tiny bit of potato peel.
