I have a lot of grievances this year

The tradition of Festivus begins with the airing of grievances." "At the Festivus dinner, you gather your family around, and you tell them all the ways they have disappointed you over the past year."

23. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Mabus...
that's very un-Antichristian of you. How goes the struggle, by the way?

Anyway, If everyone will follow the link and vote to ressurrect Festivus, it will be "like Christmas in your mouth" again. Which I cited as the reason for bringing it back.

I'm curious, what is your opinion of Nostradamus' review of your work?

25. You know it's been hard work
I swear I don't know where I find the time. Making Arafat sick the other day was just about too much. I mean, come on, let's face it, I'm trying to orchestrate Armageddon and look what they've given me to work with: a brain-damaged chimp.

Eh, Nostie, what a great guy. I'll admit I mislead him once or twice but that was to give ammo to his critics. It's easy to do. Just ask my minions like Rove, Cheney and my Babylonian goddess Condi. [Psst, around here Condi is pretty good looking but you've got to remember I'm surrounded by some pretty hideous looking creatures. Try to think of a world populated by Coulter's and Harris's. Pretty slim pickings.

14. It only comes out at Festivas time
IE: Decemberish. When I find it I usually buy up as much as I can. I was able to enjoy the gingerbready-caramel goodness until Feb. last holiday season.

You gotta be quick. If you have a good grocery store have them order it for you and give you a buzz when it comes in. That's what I'm gonna do.

A goldmine of Festivus info.

Many a Christmas ago, Frank Costanza went to buy a doll for his son. He went to reach for it (because it was the last one), but so did another man – and as Frank rained blows upon the poor fellow, he thought that there must be another way. The doll was destroyed, but out of that, a new holiday was born. It was called Festivus.

During the last few weeks in December (when Festivus takes place), families and friends get together at the dinner table and engage in what is called the “Airing of Grievances.” During this time, we share with our friends and family members all of the ways they disappointed us over the past year.

After the Airing of Grievances, we get together for the "Feats of Strength.” This is where the head of the household tests his strength with another friend or family member. The great honor is given out to a different person each year. This year, Cosmo Kramer was given the honor, but turned it down, calling upon George Costanza to fill in for him as he had an appointment.

Festivus celebrations require a hollow, metal pole in place of a tree.
Frank Costanza believed that tinsel was very distracting, thus there are no decorations.
Traditionally, Festivus Poles are tall, silver, hollow, long, skinny, and heavy.
In honor of this holiday, Kramerica Industries made a donation to the Human Fund under the names of all their employees.
