I have a strange question, but there is a reason why I am asking.
With Bush putting more and more fear that the world is coming to a end and the second coming of Christ is upon us. What if Christ was already on earth? I know it is a strange question, but I have been thinking about it a lot lately.

Here is the real reason why I have been thinking about this. If it has happen and someone born with the ability to be Christ felt a fear of coming out or just simply choice to observe human life instead. With our modern logic anyone claiming to be the son of God would be put in a mental hospital. Well, except Bush because even though he says it. He is more of a anti-christ then anything else.

1. So you want to walk thru the mental hospitals with a lantern
Asking people if they're Jesus Christ come again?

Okay. You might have a problem doing it in more than one institution.

6. the physical part,
BTW, I don't mean that about the mental hospital. It was just a reason fear would be placed in modern day. It is more of a hypothetical question then anything.

5. Yes, I agree.

Although I am an atheist, I agree with you 100%. I've been thinking this ever since we went into Iraq; he's using the bible as his compass and taking over the middle east country by country. I don't know much about the Apocalypse but I do know that Bush is NO Jesus Christ.

7. Well,
He is supposed to come in great glory, in the clouds, with trumpets sounding.

According to the Bible, this time, when He comes, everyone will know who He is.

According to the Bible, no one knows when the end times will come.

10. actually
Jesus himself is reported to have said that the people he was addressing would live to see his return. Unless there's a few 2,000-year old jews around, he was mistaken.

8. I once entertained the notion
that perhaps someday, someone would find Christ's remains and use some DNA remnants to clone them. Hence an actual "2'nd coming." Then I fantasized that all the super right wing religious zealots (who, coincidentally, would be in power in the US at the time) would fight over this new "Christ child." This would escalate until eventually we all died in some great nuclear holocaust because said religious zealots were basically carrying out a self-fulfilling prophecy (and not because it was intended to happen that way.)

Anyway... got about halfway through a book to that effect when I started thinking "nahhh, too far out there. No one will read it!"

13. They did that once on Star Trek!
Except with Kahless, the Klingon "savior." Of course, the scientists who cloned him didn't really tell anyone that he was a clone.

14. I know a crackpot guy who talks about the stage being set for a cloned
Christ (shroud of Turin, bones of Jesus's brother or whomever supposedly having been found). Didn't realize it had been floated in a Star Trek episode as well. Hmmmm.... Stay tuned to see if he's right!

9. well
if he came with a purpose i would imagine he'd figure out a way to stay out of the loony bin, unless that was part of his plan. and i don't see why he would come here just to look around when he could just stay safe in heaven and do that.

11. I'm sure Christ could prove his identity...
...if he really wanted to.

I mean. Water into wine? How about some cabernet sauvignon in the great lakes?

(Actually, I don't believe in either God or the son of God)

15. Here is my theory and I wanted to see what others thought
I'm a open minded Christian so I can understand many view points. I don't always agree about everything Christians preach as well. Here is my theory of religion.

God has always been a term created by society. We view the idea of God based on our creation of him. The reason why society needs a belief in God is to explain events. If we deny God then we deny death and thus we loose focus on the meaning of life.

As for Christ I believe it possible that there was a person. I have faith not proof that Christ was the son of God. Faith is not a proven factor it is only a emotional state. Buddhism was also started by a single person who observed life. Could Christ have been a observer of life and if so does that mean the event not the birth is the creation of Christianism?

Here is why I posed this question. How do we know if man and God are truly what they say? This also means it would take a event or need from people to bring out a figure that has Christ like characters. Then that event or action he creates would stir the foundation of a second coming.

It also brings up a interesting question of why man creates the need for a savior?
