6. I'm in Illinois, close to St. Louis
so I'm kind of a default Cards fan. We have one of the consistently best teams and the Sox stomped on us.

A coworker summed it up yesterday; "I think the Sox are a *wee* bit more hungry for it."

Yet one more good omen, are we counting yet?

- The "w" vanishes on a sign behind Laura Bush's head in a photograph, leaving the word "omen"
- Lunar eclipse, which others have mentioned is "blood on the moon", superstition for upheaval of the current administration.
- Sox win!

20. Never!
The Red Sox just gave away the best player in history. The Cubs are guilty of offending a goat! A goat, ladies and gentlemen. Hhahahaha!

Your friend, Jackdragna.

P.S. Go White Sox!

KERRY WILL WIN!!!!

Im from Boston and this is HUGE!!!!!!!!
No more flipping CURSE....change is in the wind!
Something fundamental shifted tonight, the course of human events is moving on to a different path..

One of the greatest things about this red sox team this year, is how well they all got along, very diverse group, multi-cultural, no cliques..and...they never gave up

18. Three weeks ago,
They knocked down a house that babe owned.

Three weeks ago, there was a nondescript house on a side street in Watertown, MA. According to the newspaper the bambino owned it at one time, but never lived in it. (plausible, the neighborhood was mostly built in the early 1920's) lower right corner. Later reports raised some doubt of the claim.

I live in the house dead center of the frame. We were woken up by some loud thumps, and the sound of a hard working diesel engine. Looked out the window, and there was one of the extra large, economy-sized backhoes, and the house was now mostly kindling.

Apparently they are going to build a small condo on the lot. Had I been more certain of the buildings history, I should have grabbed some fragments to list on ebay.

They did knock the house down, and the paper said he owned it... Makes as good an excuse as any for the curse breaking...

22. thanks!

We're gonna parade. We're gonna have hangovers and arrest records by sunup.

And we're gonna speak for all but Yankee fans in chanting "Suck it up, Steinbrenner!"
We know the True Enemy of real baseball and our team knocked him back down to that flame-filled place that is his true home good, for once!

23. On the Night Of . . .
. . . a lunar eclipse over a stadium whose name sounds like . . . .

An omen indeed. And a welcome one. I've been a Red Sox fan for life and I cried for joy.
