I hate this damn site.
I spend way too much time here and eat way too much while I'm doing it. I just ate half a bag of pistachios.

November 2 can't come soon enough. My family misses me. I have school work that's past due. I don't even know if the new television season has started, yet. The only show I watch is The Daily Show. Fridays really suck.

I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY LIFE BACK!!!

2. You and me both.
And my normally uninvolved husband said at dinner tonight "Damn I can't wait for November 2 to get here. Damn."

I agreed.

I'm tired, I've gotten out of shape (though canvassing helps) and I'm eating take out all the time. No time to cook.

I have a sinus headache, I need to take a shower and go to bed, but what am I doing?

DUing.

Sigh.

8. You're right, but yesterday it was
bite sized Butterfingers. If this goes on much longer, I won't be ABLE to get out of my chair!

6 days......

Oh, and I've already planned to ditch my last class on November 2. I'm going to party like it's Super Bowl Sunday. Right here, on DU.

10. 10:40 p.m. here, been here all night except to help with my son's
homework. Thank goodness there wasn't much or else he'd have been SOL.

But the wonderful thing about this place is it's someplace I can come to at 5:15 a.m. and find out all the stuff that happened while I was asleep. And I can come home at 5:30 p.m. and catch up on everything that happened during the day. I've learned so much during my time here it's amazing. There's no way one person could become so damn well informed on their own. That's the wonder and beauty of this place. It's amazing.

Sometimes the stuff's funny, sometimes it's sad, but it's always an eye opener of some sort.

11. People must think I read every paper printed in the world every day.
Most of my conversations go like this... "Well, the New York Times said..." or, "The Washington Post shows," "Seymour Hersh wrote...", "The BBC says..."

I start and end every day with LBN.

18. Add us to the list of addicts
My husband and I have spent untold hours at this site during the past year, and we now spend practically every evening in front of this cursed screen drinking wine and eating fried crap.

You know you're ready for rehab when you find yourself cruising through LBN or Campaign 2004 or GD over and over, desperately looking for something new since you cruised through about 30 seconds ago.

In five minutes I'll get off and do something else. I mean it this time. No, seriously. Just one more thread. Really.

(FYI - the above posted by Mrs. Hatrack. Sorry, ladies).

19. I spend too much time on this site too.
I think my time could be better spent doing other things, but I'm obsessed with this election. I do try to limit the times I come on here, such as only when my son is sleeping.

I also make an effort to run just about every day of the week. I take my son with me in his jogging stroller. We go to a duck pond after I'm done running, and we feed animal crackers to the ducks. I feel so lazy if I spend all day inside on the internet. I've actually lost about 20 lbs since May doing all the running. I'm getting a lot faster and my endurance is way up. The daily exercise is definitely addicting. I have to exercise to make myself feel better after spending so much time online. It's been a great stress reliever for me too.

20. If it weren't for DU

I would have gone nuts over the last few months. Let's take a moment to toast our hosts for all they do. We are going to have one HELL of a party here on Nov. 3.
