The End of the Curse was Anti-Climactic in my opinion.
Then again I wasn't in Boston, where it may have been more exciting? I wish the Cardinals had put up more of a fight. I wish it had ended at Fenway. Am I a typical New Englander? Not even satisfied with a World Series title?

1. LoL
I had a friend equate to the 1980 Hockey game during the Olympics. We beat the Russians, and then won the gold in a really crappy game. This time we beat the Yankees and won the world series in a pretty boring World Series.

7. That's true! If only the Yankees had been deemed NL champs just this year.
It would have been a great World Series!

3. Possibly true...
...although I bet most Sox fans will take it however they get it. ;)

4. This Red Sox fan is mixed--so damn glad it's over, but the ending was
way too easy. It doesn't seem real because I'm used to this gut-wrenching games. The Red Sox dominating is not an experience my brain is able to process!

6. I know exactly what you mean.

When I tuned into last night's game during the fifth inning and saw it was 3-0, I said to my wife, "The Red Sox are going to win and that's the final score." Not once during the rest of the game did I ever get the feeling of anxiety that I might be wrong. Okay--once, when Saunders stole second in the eighth inning, I think it was, I had an inkling that the baseball gods were about to really dig a knife in Red Sox fans hearts and have the Cardinals climb out of their hole and take the whole series, completely obliterating the Sox' "historic" climb back. That's the kind of October I'm used to. Maybe the baseball gods took pity on all those breaking hearts up in the North country.
