1. I don't think it was OSU's defense that won it. |
|
...it was NC State's piss poor play calling in the 3rd OT. 2 QB sneaks?
That's ok, OSU can win all they want as long as they lose to Michigan!

The Wolfpack should have at least scored on that drive and then who knows about the 2 point try... I hope they spank whoever called those plays. 2 QB sneaks from the 5, my ass.
All I gotta say is that this game was one of Philip Rivers' finest. I've watched him playing here in Raleigh for 3 years now and this showed the leadership and quality that will make him a future NFL starter regardless of how NC State does this year.
I know that OSU was without Claret and NCSU could only use TA sparingly(imagine him running at that defense for 4 quarters) but this was one hell of a game.
Don't count out the ACC just yet. With Miami joining and UNC on the rebound, the level of competition will only get better.

This is a Buckeye tipping my hat to you. I hope you win the ACC because I really hate Florida State.

what a game. My OSU alum wife is now ok again. In the middle of the second OT, she just screaamed "THIS IS F***ING INSANE". Too funny!
I knew this was going to be tougher for OSU than Washington (Sasquatch, back me up on that).
To keep winning, however, you have got to find a running game. OSU did not hand a ball to a back once in any of the OT periods, and it's why they fourth quarter lead slipped away. No running game.
But, for now, breathe and have a drink.

They were harder than I thought they would be, they are one helluva 4th quarter football team. The ACC looks like it will be the surprise confrence but, they won't be better than the Big Ten:evilgrin:

5. Big Ten will be stronger, yes |
|
The ACC is deceptively deep, though. Virginia, Maryland, and NC State are all nicked up, too. I'm not conceding that league to Florida State just yet.
Nice win for Purdue over Wake Forest, that was a great game, too. Wake stalled down 16-10 on the Purdue 11 yd line. I won some $$$ on that one...., couldn't see Purdue starting 0-2, and I didn't like Wake as a favorite, they are more dangerous as a dog.
