After some investigation I have decided to buy a La Petrie Etude. Does anyone have any experience with the online vendor www.musiciansbuy.com?
La Petrie does not have many dealers, they are one of the few that has the guitar in stock for what seems to be a good price of $239.

We bought a piano through them, good prices, great quality, shipping was very good. They have guitars also.

never heard of them, but i'll wager when you get it, it will be virtually unplayable.
you should do more research if you ask me.
you are aware that is a classical guitar correct?

or via mail-order. I want to know if the feel of the neck suits me, how well set-up it is, if there are any visible construction problems that could bite me on the ass down the road. Unless this place has at least a 30 day no questions return policy with return shipping paid for by them, I wouldn't do it.

especially with you being a new player.
it's much easier to get a cheap electric to play well than a cheap acoustic.
