Schoolboy, 13, suspended after discovery of 'cannabis muffins'

A TEENAGE pupil at a leading Aberdeenshire secondary school has been suspended after he allegedly sprinkled cannabis on muffins during a home economics lesson.

The pupil at Westhill Academy was disciplined on Tuesday after his classmates reported the incident to staff.

The 13-year-old, who has not been named, has also been reported to Grampian Police but has still to be interviewed by police officers.

A spokeswoman for Aberdeenshire Council confirmed yesterday that a second-year pupil at Westhill had been suspended for five days, following an alleged incident at the school.
