It may be raining in San Diego but the sun shines on my Red Sox and me.
I'm numb but have the glow.
I've experienced what my dad never did. He was a diehard Sox fan and weathered the storms of 46,67,75,78 and 86. He watched Ted Williams, Bobby Doerr, Billy Goodman, Jackie Jenson, Carl Yastzemski, Jim Lonborg, Carlton Fisk, Jim Rice, Fred Lynn, Bill Lee, Wade Boggs, Bill Buckner and ever Roger Clemens toil in futility for all of his 69 years. He died in 2000. I got to see this and consider it a privilege.
Thank You Red Sox for allowing me to taste what my Dad always wanted to and couldn't.
