Has anybody considered putting together a DVD of 9/11 coverage? |
I've had this idea for a while now, and while reading Michael Moore's book of F 9/11 it came up again. The school where I teach has no TV access, so on 9/11, all of my information came from the radio and (as much as it pains me to admit it), Drudge. In a way, I kind of regret not being able to see the TV coverage, since it was such a defining moment in history. I've always thought it would be an interesting idea to take as much footage as possible from the major news outlets, and put it on several DVDs, with all coverage running simultaneously on separate angles and audio tracks, so one could switch between them and see how the coverage differed. Thoughts?

1. OK ... but maybe cut down on the WTC coverage itself |
seeing the towers being hit live on tv was bad enough - I would never want to see people suffering and knowing that it happened is painful enough, but seeing it even just once will burn it into your memory cells. Contrasting the coverage is interesting, but I'd try to limit the use of WTC footage. MM's 9/11 also did this, and I thought did it very movingly.
