I'm thinking of changing my screen name. If I do it I'll be stepping out of anonymity and posting under my real name. I'll be doing it because I'll no longer be, well, Droopy. I'll feel some sense of empowerment for the first time in my life. This is the first time I've gotten involved in the political process and also publicly showed my support for a candidate. I've donated money to the Democratic party three times and I have a yard sign and bumper sticker on display on my property. I haven't gotten out there and knocked on doors or worked the phones, but what I've done is my first step toward being more involved. But I digress. So what do you think about the name change?

Oh and by the way, good buddy doesn't mean the same thing as it did in years past. It now means trucking homosexual and is frequently used as an insult by homophobic truckers. I'd be tempted to use that as my screen name if I were a gay trucker, but I'm not gay.
