My wife is going in to have a lipoma removed from the back of her neck tomorrow morning. Good vibes, thoughts, prayers are all welcome and appreciated.

When your grandkids ask about "cancer," she'll be able to tell them she survived one of the world's last cases.

10. Mr. Mary Pat had a lipoma taken off of his...
...butt, about three weeks ago. No kidding. It was cylindrical and it went about 1½ inches deep. All told, the thing was over 2½ inches in length and ¾ of an inch in diameter. I christened it George W. Bush right before the procedure, which I got to attend, by the way. It was very interesting.

Anyway, these things are virtually never malignant but the lab will biopsy it--standard operating procedure. Wish her luck for me and tell her to be happy that she doesn't have to sit on her incision. Mr. Mary Pat is still crying.

13. It will be such a relief when it's over and
you get great news from the biopsy analysis.

I've had a few lumps removed; they've all been benign and no problem. You and she will feel so relieved tonight.
