1. I remember voting for Jerry.
Captain Beefheart and Dr. John the Night Tripper... I feel so old!

What happened to my innocence? My idealism? My hope?

2. We grew up...sad isn't it :)

and most of OUR kids were not adventurous at all..and their kids??who knows..

I sometimes think that OUR generation was the LAST one where 16-20 yr olds could just take off, have fun, live on nothing, and survive to tell the tale :)

4. Jerry Brown hasn't done too well either.
He's become something of a jerk and police apologist since becoming mayor of Oakland.

5. He was pretty radical in his "day"..
Tom Haydn has stayed pretty close to his roots, but most young politicians, end up compromising so much, they lose sight of what brought them to politics.:(

6. RFK is the one that would have been uncorruptible...
I believe he was the one man that could have brought about real change in the country. But maybe I'm an idealistic liberal.

7. No...you are right.. That's why he was killed..
I really think that "someone or some people" saw him as a 2 termer with very progressive ideas.. Our country would be a verry different place if RFK had been president from '69-'77...
