Band Playing Tonight

We got a last minute call from a bar owner/friend to replace the back-up band for Friday night.

We have to bring nothing but guitars. PA, lights and monitors are the club's (half of our old PA and a third of our old light show that we sold to the owner) and the headliners agreed to let us use their backline.

The main act is a good, solid band, so we won't be cuttin' heads tonight. But, we will set the bar pretty high for those guys.

Not getting much dough, ($25 a piece), but they sell Guiness on tap there and beer is free for the bands!

We haven't done anything live for about 6 months. Should be fun.

Just about 5 blocks from my house. Pretty convenient, huh?

Yeah, i got impatient. I'm a really early riser and i've been at work for 3 hours at this writing.

I'm not making any promises. Besides, I have to ask. Does this have anything to do with the Fox incident? I know that's big news.

It's at the Rustic. Just a little place. Probably seats around 90 or 100 people. But, good equipment.

You're right, though. The town is BUZZIN' with the Fox situation.

BTW: We're only playing about 40 minutes or so. It could be a long drive for just that. I'm just looking forward to playing live tonight and thought i'd share my enthusiasm with friends at DU. Not trolling for an audience.
