I just got a new laptop!!!!!
Except for being at work having a dial-up connection (this really sucks!) can't wait to get it home & hook it up to my DSL!

It's a HP zv5000 with a DVD record-able drive version of Windows XP multi media version.

Now I can chat with all my friends while at work! :)

P.S. I do have to buy a mouse using the one built into the laptop just seems so unnatural.

2. Ohhh a shiny new laptop...
I'm jealous, I want a new laptop. I'm stuck with a shitty IBM Thinkpad with shitty Windows 98 and shitty 6GB of memory.

3. Does it have a wireless card built in???
Check it out...you may find an open network at your work location.

We have a wi-fi zone downtown in Orlando, and whenever I take my laptop down there, I have my choice of four or five connections: they city's, a local coffee shop, and two or three other open networks.

Just make sure your file and printer sharing is turned off.

5. don't bother buying the mouse
you'll get used to the touchpad in a matter of days, and you won't want to carry the mouse with you all the time.

10. I don't like the touchpads in general....too flaky.
I have one of those optical mini-mouses that works great...wouldn't use anything else.

12. I got one of those!
I have only ever had the optical mouse. I had a Microsoft (not a mini) now I have a Kensington and it is a mini. Less than $20...you need a stocking stuffer!

9. I've got a zd7020us...................a great machine.
I really like HP products.

Funniest thing, though; my HP All-in-one printer (T45) couldn't run until I loaded special drivers for it from the internet.
