The Band The Last Waltz

I have always been a fan of this film, but now I got myself the DVD. It is just too fucking good. I am listening to and watching it in 5.1 surround sound right now. What a great Rock film. If you haven't seen it, get it...if you have seen it...get it and listen to it again.

1. Thanks for reminding me.
I haven't, but have often thought I'd like to. Been kind of busy lately. This will be my treat for Nov. 3.

3. I have this DVD - 'tis my favourite...
...one I can watch/listen to over and over. 'O Brother where art Thou' is another.

I'm looking to get the Moody Blues RedRock concert on DVD, as well as perhaps as 'Royal Jam' by the Crusaders and B.B. King (if it's out there on DVD...).

6. Yes! Just last night, and then I was so excited...
...I started a thread, asking about great concert films. I got some good answers.

I went to netflix and ordered up the George Harrison memorial concert, Festival Express, and a couple others.

But I have to say, The Band was GREAT. I was singing along. I remember those songs still -- I really played my 8 track of their music until the tape broke. ha ha.

Kerry On!

7. Oh man
The concert for George is great! I can watch that over and over. It is such a sweet show of love for the man. Ravi Shankar's daughter is so wonderful on that film. The whole concert is great.

8. best rock concert film ever made . . . by far . . .
a whole raft of incredible musicians performing in their prime . . . and where else can you see Muddy Waters, Joni Mitchell and Neil Diamond all on the same stage? . . .

9. Love that film! I think I saw it in a theater when it came out.
I later bought the video. That's always been my favorite concert movie.
