17. Do you remember the books from the series?
"Barnabas and the..." (fill in the blank). I even read those, all of them! I was twisted back then. But so was my ma for letting me watch them LOL. :-)

22. Yep. Somewhere in my mom's house or storage is my
collection of the Dark Shadows series.

I wonder if they're a collector's edition?

Yeah, I was pretty twisted back then. But, er, I still am.

:hi:

Oh, and I just remembered, I have the Dark Shadows album. Yes, I said album.

Remember "Josette's Theme?"

24. No way!
Josette's Theme - Of course I do! I had it too, back in the day. It's gone now. How weird is this? To be talking about DS...have I mentioned that I love DU? The greatest people are here. My memories are safe. :-)

I DO bet that the books are collector's items. I only have one from the series my Ma had - she sold the rest at a garage sale (when I wasn't looking, or I would have just flipped). She sold the album too. I'd love to find them all again!

26. Okay, I probably shouldn't admit this
but I'm pretty sure you can still get Dark Shadows videos, albums, etc. through their fan club. Yep, I'm a card carrying member. They still have reunions. I still get the invites and the occasional merchandise for sale notifications.

I think that's how I have the album. My brother destroyed my first copy.

I'm gonna try and look the fan club up. I thought all of it was gone...goodness, but I'd love to watch some of the shows again!

Seriously, I had completely forgotten DS for, oh, about 25 years until I read this thread. I've been pleasantly surprised tonight. So thanks! :-)

edited for weird sentence. oops.

It was on for a short time in the early 1970s, about an upper-class Boston-Irish family after World War I. Excellent acting.

Ahh, for the pre-MTV days (I mean nights). A lot of fantastic live rock concert music played for a nation of stoned music freaks. I also enjoyed the British version- The Old Grey Whistle Test. I watched that one while stationed there in the early 70s.

I assume you would mean new episodes in their classic format (before they jumped the shark, that is, if they ever did) rather than just reruns?

Lexx (they'd have to bring back Kai though)
Futurama
Dexter's Laboratory
SCTV
Kolchak the Night Stalker
Absolutely Fabulous

but I'm only lukewarm to the idea of trying to recapture lost magic, especially when it comes to TV...!

MASH

China Beach

Dark Shadows - but only if they take acting classes first

Star Trek - see above about Dark Shadows

Most are in re-run or on video/DVD so I can see the old ones again. It's painful to watch Dark Shadows, though. I sure do miss it, bad acting, and goofy outtakes and all.

I think that came after "Flying Blind," which she got good critical reviews for. (It probably led to her getting that other show, which I don't know the name of.) I never saw "Legally Blonde," so I don't know what actress you're talking about there.

That show was so great. He would actually test out the absurd claims in TV commercials and often prove the claims false, and put the spotlight on manufacturers of defective or otherwise lousy products. A TV show that actually stood up for the consumer rather than take advantage.
