Yep, I Saw It... The Worst Movie Ever. |
|
Edited on Sat Sep-13-03 11:01 PM by jayfish
Mac And Me. I remember when this movie was in theaters (1988) and knew it was awful then... without even seeing it. For any of you who have never heard of this pile, it is basically a movie funded by McDonalds, about McDonalds. That's not what the filmmakers wanted you to think though. They wanted you to think it was ET. I got up with my three-year-old son this morning and as we flipped through the channels, there it was, in all of its' stinking glory. But he had to watch it. I had no power to fight him because the movie is mesmerizingly awful, the story, the effects, the cast and above all the blatant McDonalds product placement. I've just now brushed off enough of the effects of this tripe to talk about it. All copies of this abomination should be collected and summarily destroyed. I am dumber for having watched this celluloid disaster.

Ronald McDonald (Yep the one from the commercials) was there for all of the fun. I Think Ronny Raygun had a hand in the production of this capitalistic carcass.

3. Sounds like something I would enjoy. |

I love '80s cheese. There's also the classic movie (The Wizard?) starring Fred Savage which was basically a giant commercial for Nintendo.

6. Enjoy it? Probably not. |
|
Please keep in mind that the climax of the film depicts the film's hero reviving the alien's seemingly-dead parents with Coke. But - worst ever? Not even close.

Here's a classic. "That must be what they drink on their planet." I almost covered my sons ears.
