1. Um...what OS do you use?
If you're on Windows, you should set up Outlook Express to download messages from your Hotmail account. Then you can check the message headers (which, as far as I know, you CAN'T do if you check your mail on the web).

3. just windows internet explorer (on XP)
I already opened it in the IE browser. can I forward it to Outlook and thet the origin from it there? It's a drunken threat from someone I'm having problems with, and I want proof where it came from.

4. If you have Outlook Express (Not Outlook)
then you can set up to receive mail in Outlook Express from an HTTP server. Open Outlook Express (again: THIS WILL NOT WORK in regular Outlook). Go to the "Tools" menu, then "Accounts", then click the "Mail" tab. Then click "Add". Enter your name, then your Hotmail address and password. Then, on the next step, select HTTP server for incoming mail from the drop-down list. If it doesn't automatically configure, the server is http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp . Then your Hotmail messages will download to a separate "Hotmail" folder in Outlook Express, and you can get message headers by selecting the appropriate message, right-clicking, then selecting "properties" from the menu, then clicking the "details" tab.

6. No.
Everything in your Hotmail inbox gets downloaded. As long as it's still on the Hotmail server, then you'll see it in your Outlook Express Hotmail inbox.

2. I was wondering that myself...
... I got an email today on my yahoo account from Yahoo that just didn't that wanted me to verify my address that I have been using for a long time. It wanted me to click on a link but it didn't look right and I didn't trust it so I erased it.

7. Unless I misunderstand what you're after

You can go to Options-Mail Display Settings and pick the 'Advanced' button and click OK ('Full' might also give you what you're after)
