Edited on Sat Oct-30-04 04:59 AM by HEyHEY
I've had it. I tried to sleep and I can't "I can't sleep nights"

Seriously though.

When I try to sleeep I get a buzz or hum in my ear.
Ideas?

1. My guess is that it's...
... due to extended periods of time in front of the computer. Mine is a couple of feet from my head, so I end up with the same thing after eighteen or twenty hours on the computer. Usually goes away after a while.

Try turning on the radio low, to give your ears something else to focus on, and read yourself to sleep.

Works for me.

2. I have a light portable fan going close to my bed
its quiet drone drowns out a lot of outside noises - not sure about the inner ones, but you could try it.

4. Make yerself a cup of cocoa, take a couple
of aspirins, drink the cocoa and it will relax you and you'll sleep like a baby.

5. White noise machine
We got one of these battery operated "noise" machines, plays 6 or 7 different noises like rain, seashore, birds, etc. Works good for the wife when she can't sleep.
Maybe try melatonin for sleep, that sometimes works too.
Good luck.

7. I second the noise machine...
...or a bathroom fan works pretty well too for that.

And what someone else said about blood pressure is true, too. Got checked out lately?
