Poll question: Which scenario would hurt you worse? |
|
Your ex leaving you for someone of the same sex or the opposite sex?
It doesn't matter what your sexual preference is please answer and elaborate.

Although, I will say, if I was dumped for someone of the same sex as my ex, I wouldn't mind as much. Dunno. Could be sexism. Could be that I just don't like men all that much.

4. Both scenarios are painful, but I'd give the edge to "same sex"... |
|
Because, if my wife left me for another woman, I'd know that it would be a part of her life that probably has nothing to do with me -- this scenario would most likely be more about her, and her needs, needs that I could never satisfy. That reality could be more easily reconciled, I believe.
But, if my wife left me for another guy, then the possibility exists that I have let her down in the relationship somehow. I would carry a greater burden of the responsibility for the failure of the relationship, to the extent that she would be interested in seeking out a different male partner. It just seems like this scenario would be more difficult to reconcile.

I know now why there was no sex involved except one time which was so brief that it's hard to remember or it was so bad that i blocked it. I feel like my heart has been ripped out, stomped, chewed up and spit out on a train track for a train to run over. I thought that he had a female on the side or i was the one on the side and i am getting ready to break down thinking about how stupid i must have been. I feel like one of the biggest dummy's in the world and I think that the signs were there but I was as blind as a bat.

my sweetness, I cannot imagine but to me it would be so much worse because there would be two devastating issues to deal with. I'm so sorry.

Would doing your fingernails during the interlude be a sign of a bad one?
