I posted this last night too.

I'm trying to find this tune that has like horns and stuff in it. It's new I think and the horn song is kinda like something the tijaunna brass would have done. The horn part is kinda the chorus and it souonds like it could be j-5 or something. Anyone know it?

5. There's a lot of rap that has jazz in it....especially mid-90's

I can name nearly all of the rap songs, but I'm not familiar with "Java." (other than when referencing coffee and computers)

Who was the artist who made Java?

One I know the artist, I'll be able to hear a sample of it on mp3.com or amazon.com, then I'll be able to tell you the corresponding rap song that sampled it.

10. Give me some more help on this:

Is the rap song upbeat and fast like Java?

Does it use a long sample or a short sample?

Also....your not talking about Fantasia by Us3 are you?

It's the 1st song on this page:

Here are some other places to look:

Digable Planets:

Guru's Jazamatazz albums:

Also, if you like jazz and rap, this is one of my favorite combinations of it:

"Don't Sweat The Technique" by Eric B. & Rakim:

(listen to track 11)

11. Nope...
In the first thread you showed me you listened to "Java" right?

It's that tune, a sample of the main hook and it[s used as a chorus in the tune

12. Yeah, I listened to it but...

I can't think of a rap song with a chorus like that.

I haven't been keeping up with rap in the last few years, so if it's new, I might not know it. If it's 80's or 90's rap, I should know it.
